Jonang Kalachakra Teachings in Italy

Khenpo Choekyi Nangwa Rinpoche from Jonang Shimla Monastery in India will be teaching on the Jonang Kalachakra practices, and perform an abbreviated Kalachakra initiation along with a Vajravega authorization ritual, at Northern Shambhala Kalachakra Temple in Italy from February 14 to 23, 2014.

Khenpo Choekyi Nangwa Rinpoche is the Abbot of Jonang Takten Phuntsok Choling Monastery in Shimla, India. Born and trained in the Jonang tradition inside Tibet, he has lived in India since 1993, and served as abbot of the Jonang Shimla monastery since 1998. This is an extraordinary opportunity to recieve teachings from Rinpoche.

The Program:

Feb. 14 = Kalachakra Initiation
Feb. 15 = Instruction on preliminary practices
Feb. 16 – Instruction on preliminary practices
Feb. 17 = Instruction on preliminary practices
Feb. 18 = Instruction on Kalachakra generation process
Feb. 19 = Instruction on Kalachakra generation process
Feb. 20 = Instruction on Kalachakra vajrayoga
Feb. 21 = Instruction on Kalachakra vajrayoga
Feb. 22 = = Instruction on Kalachakra vajrayoga
Feb. 23 = Jenang authorization ritual on Vajravega

Prerequisites to Attend:

  • Have completed the Kalachakra preliminary practices
  • Recite the Kalachakra mantra daily
  • Have a pure wish to recieve the Kalachakra teachings

*The Kalachakra empowerment is a requisite for receiving instructions on the generation and completion process.

Teachings will be translated into English by Edward Henning.
